I contributed to the project by photographing portraits of local icons, including spoken-word artist Elten Kiene and iconic BMX rider Stuart Gibson, reflecting their stories as part of Rotterdam’s vibrant community.

Rotterdam Icons, funded by the Municipality of Rotterdam and initiated by
Despina Papachristoudi and Merit Zimmermann, invited ten Rotterdam artists to create portraits of people from Rotterdam-Zuid whom they consider local heroes, resulting in a unique sticker album celebrating community, recognition,
and positive representation.
