I’m Adem Gümrükçüler, a filmmaker and photographer based in Rotterdam.
My journey began in Istanbul, where I studied cinema and started my career as a director’s assistant, gradually building a multidisciplinary practice.

I create films and photographs with a cinematic style for the arts and culture sector in the Netherlands, focusing on atmosphere, movement, and storytelling.
I collaborate with theaters, artists, and cultural institutions to craft visual narratives that are clear, artistic, and intentional.

From performance films to documentary style portraits, making of movies, and event aftermovies, I focus on capturing the essence of each project. I work closely with cultural organisations and makers from the very beginning to plan filming, refine ideas, and ensure every detail reflects their story and artistic vision.

I approach every project with curiosity and strong visual instincts, translating concepts, rehearsals, and live performances into imagery with a confident, artistic style.
